2009-2010 supply list for 6/7 AGATE
binder with dividers (3 sections in the binder will be for the AGATE class—English, Social Studies, and History Day) I like the idea of the kids using one 2-inch or larger binder with dividers for the entire day. On the other hand, if your child does better with 3 1-inch binders—one for AGATE, one for science, and one for math, that's OK with me.
an inexpensive flash drive with an attached or self-closing cover sturdy pencil pouch a continuous supply all year of #2 pencils a continuous supply all year of black or dark blue Bic pens a continuous supply all year of red Bic pens a continuous supply all year of wide-ruled binder paper Handwriting is typically better for younger kids with wide-ruled rather than college-ruled—which is why they market that paper for college.
optional: stapler optional: scissors optional: 6-inch ruler
I also ask parents to pay for the consumable vocabulary book (about $15 at the moment).
I typically ask students bring things to share (about $10-12 each) that are kept in the AGATE class for everyone in here to use.
